Your account
Sign-in is managed with Firebase Authentication. You can reduce casual device access with biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID) where enabled in the app.
Financial connections
Bank connections run through Plaid Link. You authenticate with your financial institution in Plaid’s flow; HomeStart does not ask you to type your bank password into our own forms.
Data storage
Your plan, planning profile, and linked-institution data are stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your user account. How we use processors such as Google and Plaid is described in the Privacy Policy.
Transparency
We publish a Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and this site so reviewers (including Plaid) and users can understand what the product does.
